things to do in brambleton, virginiaBrambleton, a master planned community in Loudoun County, was built with the ease and comfort of residents in mind. It is a small town, but you will find that there is plenty there to do.

There’s the Brambleton Community Center, a meeting place for town residents, that features a two-story community building, a pool with “extensive water features,” an open playfield, and a tot lot. The community center is available for community events, including birthday rentals and other special events. There are all sorts of classes and special programming available at the Center, from teen nights to health expos, seasonal yard sales and wine classes. The pool complex is open between Memorial Day and Labor Day. It features a bath house, a lap pool, a spa, and a wading pool for the kiddos.

Pools and Waterparks

Speaking of pools, families will get a kick out of the new Stratford Landing Pool & Splash Park. During warm months kids of all ages can enjoy the facility, which includes “splash pad and water sensory play area with zero depth beach entry, water volleyball court, water basketball court, cool water hydrotherapy cove, and water slide,” as per Brambleton HOA’s website. There is also a separate picnic area and a bath house.

The Golf Courses

Love to play golf? You’ll enjoy spending time at the scenic Brambleton Golf Course, managed by the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority. It is an 18-hole, par 72 golf course surrounded by woods and water holes, with large bunkers and gorgeous putting greens. The pro shop features all the golf-related apparel and merchandise you could ever need, including clubs and equipment. The shop also offers a variety of useful services to golfers, including club making and fitting, re-shafting and re-gripping, and tournament coordination.

The Parks

Brambleton’s park system is vast and beautiful. There’s small, lovely Dragonfly Park, which features gorgeous views of Brambleton’s second-largest pond. Residents can fish the pond on a catch-and-release basis. Trent Grove Park has gazebos that are perfect for picnics, along with an open field, a playground, and swings. It is located in Grahams Stable Square. Explorer Park is tiny, but this pocket park comes to life in the winter, when it is the ideal location for some prime sledding! The open playfield is used often by neighborhood children for pickup games. Overlook East Park, which is  located adjacent to the water towers on Highcroft Terrace, is one of the best viewing spots for Briar Woods football or soccer games. It comes equipped with a fun climbing structure for the kids. Legacy Park is one of Brambleton’s bigger parks. It boasts dual playgrounds, a basketball court, climbing structures, a lighted tennis court, swings, a natural park, and a waterfall. The majority of the park is open from dawn until dusk, but the lights at the tennis courts stay on until 10 pm.

This is just a sampling of the entertainment that Brambleton has to offer!
